Why can't I login or access my website after enabling secure mode?

This probably means that you do not have an SSL certificate configured correctly for your website.  You should only enable secure mode after you have verified that an SSL certificate is working correctly for your website (e.g. by going to  If you want to disable secure mode, then please choose from one of the options below.

Option 1

Run the following SQL command against the liveSite MySQL database (e.g. via phpMyAdmin).  If you do not know how to do this, then your server administrator or hosting provider can help you or you can proceed to option 2 below.

UPDATE config SET url_scheme = 'http://';

Option 2

  1. Update the following URL with your domain name, livesite path, username, and password and go to the URL in your browser to login.  Ignore SSL certificate warnings or errors that might appear.
  2. Update the following URL with your domain name and livesite path and go to the URL in your browser.
  3. Uncheck secure mode.
  4. Click Save.
